Regular price $ 12

Palo Santo or sacred wood comes from a tree called Burseara Graveolens. is a natural wood aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune. It has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes of frankincense, its close relative. This Palo Santo is sustainably wild harvested from a reserve in Ecuador from naturally fallen trees and branches that lie dead for 4-10 yrs. before they are harvested. 10 semi-uniform sticks per package approximately 4 in. long and 1/4 to 1/2 in. diameter.

The Palo Santo tree in Ecuador is protected by the national government and can only be harvested under strict sustainable practices.

Unlike conventional incense which burns completely after lighting, Palo Santo may be relit many times. When lighting, allow the wood to burn to less than a minute, then blow the flame out. Palo Santo may be re-lit many times.

A portion of the sales price goes to help replant these endangered trees.
